Native Tamarind "Diploglottis campbellii"

The Native Tamarind " Diploglottis campbelli" is a very rare tree in its original habitat on the border of New South Wales and Queensland. It's fruit is a bright orange colour that is on the sour side of flavour. It is best to harvest the fruit when it falls onto the ground. It is drought and frost tolerant in our gardens. Grows to a small tree or large shrub. The fruits are used to make jams, jellies, sauces and drinks
