Flame Tree "Brachychiton acerifolius"

The Illawarra flame tree, Brachychiton acerifolius , is a striking Australian native tree that is famous for dropping it's leaves to put on a brilliant , fiery red flowering display. It can grow to 20 metres in gardens , but can reach up to 40 mtrs in it's natural habitat.
